Introduction

Congratulations on choosing the SRE 100m modular  synthesiser ,your  SRE 100m is mostly based on analogue modular synthesiser  circuits, each of these circuits is  custom built to create a unique ,high quality electronic instrument that will give years of trouble free use and great sounds.

This synthesiser is different to most traditional synths as it is largely NON HARDWIRED. The modules , apart  from power supplied to them are separate from each other , you have freedom of how you set up the system, and how you want  to  connect modules together.

Modular synthesizers are extremely versatile instruments that are  composed  of a variety of individual sound creating and shaping units. The individual modules are connected with patch chords to generate sounds. It’s up to you how you connect the modules together. For instance, you connect them with patch chords to create a comprehensive synthesizer, or you can use individual modules (LFO’s, VCF’s, …) to shape the sounds of instruments that you already use, to process loops from your sampler and sounds from another synth etc.

To get the most out of this equipment and to ensure trouble free use, please read the manual and get  familiar with the equipment. It’s probably best to do this while actually using the instrument. So why not begin  with the QUICK START chapter  in the next section. Happy synthesising !!
