Insert points
Half normalled e.g. plug return
in
Fully normalled e.g. send or
return to break link
Decibels
Sound Pressure Level (spl)=20
log (p/p reference)
Preference = 20 micro Pascal
Use condenser mic to phantom
for work with vocoda
Use di box with xlr to jack for
mic insert into vocoda to boost signal
303 left in of effects return
mic di right in of effects return
This gives amazing sounds as
your voice oscillates with the ups and downs of the 303 or use another 303 as
the carrier, a continuous sound is best and try to find a vocoda with 20+
slices of voice filtering e.g. boss se70.
Pitch shift +3 , -5 or any 3rd
5th 7th note from root combination
Compress all 303 signals
especially when using resonance also this keeps things level instead of too hi
(cof hi res low) or too low when the cof is hi and res is hi.
Try to use balanced 3 pole
jacks, as analogues are noisy, if you can find a noise gate use it all the
time. Keep things cool when recording and use short leads.
Distortion is the effect for
the 303 use a noise suppressor after the distortion and overdrive stages try to
enhance the mid and upper stages without increasing the level of noise.
de essers pink noise bass
eliminators
white noise higher frequencies
eliminate with graphic equaliser
Try flanges with pingpong or
building delays
Tune each 303 used to different
notes and play the same synced pattern on each also use a different effect on
each or run the sound through the filter bank of the bass station etc keep each
of the notes in key and this sounds like you are playing chords
